After-Hours Repack to Help Families Impacted by the Shutdown
Join us for this special series of after-hours volunteer shifts from 5-8pm to help pack meals and other essentials for federal workers impacted by the shutdown!
While the the government has been temporarily re-opened, the families impacted by the longest shutdown in U.S. history will feel its effects for weeks and months to come.
You can provide vital help to us at our highest need project by sorting and packing donated food and personal care items so we can get these products out to families in need.
Groups, students, and families are welcome. Choose one or more shifts this week:
THURSDAY, January 31st: 5:00pm-8:00pm
Some important notes:
-- Volunteers age 5 and up welcome (1 adult chaperone required per 5 youth volunteers under 16). -- This project will take place at our Warehouse at 355 Food Center Drive in Hunts Point in the Bronx (6 train to Hunts Point, then Bx6.) -- Please wear sturdy closed-toe shoes and refrain from wearing jewelry that may slip off while working. -- While the project is indoors, some areas of our Warehouse are not temperature-controlled. Please bring extra layers to stay comfortable throughout your shift.
