Mets Summer Food Drive
Project Description: The Mets are hosting their annual Mets Summer Food Drive to benefit Food Bank For New York City on Friday, August 1st and Saturday, August 2nd outside the Jackie Robinson Rotunda in advance of Mets home games. Volunteers are needed to help collect, box and load non-perishable donations from fans!
Tasks may include:

Consolidating donated items and transferring them to the Food Bank truck.

Thanking fans for their donations.

Engaging with fans to share information about Food Bank’s work (basic talking points will be provided).
Things to Consider:

Volunteers should be comfortable standing for long periods of time and with moderate lifting.

Outdoor activity will be required so please wear weather appropriate attire.
- Please plan ahead and eat a full meal in advance of your volunteer shift as there are limited food options in the area. We recommend bringing a water bottle and light snacks.
- Please note the Citi Field Bag Policy | New York Mets (mlb.com). Backpacks are not permitted.
- Volunteers will receive a ticket to attend the game following the end of the collection
Dress Code:

Volunteers are expected to present a neat appearance and dress according to the requirements of the volunteer shift.

We ask that volunteers do not wear revealing attire such as muscle shirts, crop tops, “short shorts” or see-through clothing.

Sturdy, closed-toe, closed-heel shoes are required for safety. Ballet flats, loafers, sandals, slide shoes, flip flops, Crocs, and high-heels are not allowed.

If you have any Food Bank or Mets gear, please feel free to wear it!

Our staff reserves the right to turn away or reassign volunteers not dressed appropriately for their shift.
