SNAP Call Center Support (In person or Virtual)
In New York City alone, more than 2.9 million people count on SNAP—including seniors, people with disabilities, and 1 in 3 children. SNAP not only prevents hunger—it reduces poverty, improves health outcomes, and strengthens local economies by supporting 17,000+ retailers and generating over $650 million in monthly economic activity.
SNAP Call Center volunteers will work alongside Food Bank’s team of SNAP experts to assist community members with the SNAP application process. We are seeking bilingual volunteers to support the Call Center in various ways, including answering phones, conducting pre-screenings, and making sure clients have the correct documentation.
